On Tuesday, the Government approved the distribution of nearly 1.9 billion euros from European funds for housing rehabilitation and social renting. The aid will be earmarked for the autonomous communities and Ceuta and Melilla.

The minister also pointed out that the transfer criteria were agreed jointly with the autonomous communities at the Sectorial Conference and said that in the coming weeks a new Conference will be convened to "address this transfer and consolidate each of the communities".
