China's electricity crisis leads to out-of-control aluminum prices: it now costs the same for a ton on the markets as it does to produce it

Reuters The price of aluminum has reached its highest level in the last 13 years in the markets. The escalation is directly related to the increase in the price of electricity, which has been accentuated by the production cuts in China. It now costs the same per ton of aluminum as the electricity to produce it.
